Blog Intent

OK, the original intent for this blog was to be a newsworthy yet humerous look at the world of Media Borough, their politics, foibles, fun and etc. The goal at one time was to make a version similar to Philadelphia Will Do, one of the Areas better (not to mention humerous) blogs. However, with work and life as it is, I never had the time to do so. So, in its place, we have a refugee camp.

Feel free to post in the comments section, I may give thread privliges (we'll see), and if you have recommendations for posting, feel free to hit me up at
jokelanddotcom@yahoo.com.

We'll get into my email adress origins in another post...

I took the trolley from Orange Street to Nick’s Roast Beef in Springfield one night the other week. It was cool. It was quaint. I hadn’t ridden that thing in years. It was neat seeing the town from that vantage while riding down State Street. It costs 2 bucks no matter how far you ride it.
(For the ride there and back I was able to briefly put aside my issues with SEPTA tax subsidies and their discriminatory Affirmative Action hiring practices.)
Did you know that Media holds some distinction as the last small town in America to have a trolley running down its main street, or some such?

they might, r. But I'm noticing that trolleys are making a major comeback. SEPTA re-opened the Girard Street Line (e.g. to the Zoo), they even restored the original cars which look gorgeous. The trolly in Media is nice but can be difficult in terms of driving up/down State Street.

With that I would say Media might have been but others are making comebacks.
